    Background

    Meeting climate targets and maintaining corporate competitiveness depend largely on reducing CO2e emissions. Up to 90 percent of these originate in the supply chain. Yet how these emissions are measured and controlled has been the subject of extensive debate for many years. The main challenges today are the high time and cost involved, as well as unreliable data and inconsistent standards – often based on estimates rather than actual CO2e emissions and resource consumption.

    Even more concerning is the fact that management decisions, corporate reports, legislation and political guidelines across Europe are frequently based on inaccurate or even false data – data that is also slow, laborious and expensive to collect.

    Over the past 18 months, the Austrian-Swedish AI company SIMPLE has developed a groundbreaking software platform that addresses these challenges. Its effectiveness has already been demonstrated in several pilot projects, and it is now being presented to the public for the first time. To mark this occasion – described by independent experts as a true game changer.
